Calangute Beach – The Queen of Beaches
Calangute Beach has located approx 15 to 17 km from Panjim. In North Goa, The Longest Beach of Goa is the Calangute Beach, which is extending from Candolim to Baga. Due to its sheer size and popularity, it is a center for visitors and backpackers from all over the world.

This fort was built in 1612 to escape the Dutch and Marathas. Aguada Fort was the most important and prized fort for the Portuguese. This fort was a huge source of freshwater, hence the Portuguese name of this fort is named after the Portuguese word for water i.e. ‘Agua’. Water is called agua in Portuguese word. And the Aguada Fort used to be a source of freshwater for the sailors which was never empty. It could hold 2,376,000 gallons of water and was one of the largest freshwater reservoirs in Asia.
Anjuna Beach is one of the most popular beaches in North Goa and it stretches for about 3 km. Anjuna Beach is at a distance of 21 km from Panjim. Many people come here for morning walk.
